Bok discusses the friendship of her husband's parents with Josef Hofmann; the articles by Hofmann which her father-in-law, Edward Bok, published in Ladies' Home Journal, the Boks' summers at Seal Harbor with the Stokowskis and Hofmanns, her own first meeting with Stokowski, her friendship with Olga Samaroff Stokowski and her daughter Sonya, and her husband's work as president of the Philadelphia Orchestra Association.
