Fischer discusses how he first got involved with Stokowski and brought him back to Philadelphia for his 50th anniversary season; Stokowski's physical condition toward the end of his life, particularly hypoglycemia, and Natalie Bender's care of him; the conflict with José Serebrier, one of Stokowski's associate conductors with the American Symphony Orchestra; and David Kendig, a fanatical follower of Stokowski.
