During an intermission in a concert at the first Bergen Festival, Stokowski discusses Bergen, the conductor Garaguly, his impressions of Norway and Norwegian music, the use of folk elements in music, and historically authentic performance, and he refers to the works on the evening's program (Sæverud's Kjæmpeviseslåtten, Valen's Cemetery by the Sea, and transcriptions of Bach).
