Etchings of the first lighthouse, and etchings and photographs of the present lighthouse, including building plans, lens and pedestal plans, 1830-1988; telegraph station and Western Union tower, 1870-1898; maps, charts, and plans, 1851-1986; and images of lighthouse keepers and their families, storms from the hurricane of 1938 to Hurricane Gloria in 1985, United States Life Saving Service personnel and activities, shipwrecks and rum runners, oystering, fishing, bathing, boating, the beach, and the Surf Hotel, and pictures filed in categories such as ecology, edible plants, wildlife, and dangerous plants and insects.
