Photocopy of "A list of persons in Suffolk County, on Long Island who took the following oath of allegiance & peaceable behavior before Governor Tryon," signed and dated by Governor William Tryon, Nov. 24, 1778; typescript list of those who signed from the Town of East Hampton, listed in alphabetical order and then by occupation, 1988. The list includes 2,677 names of residents of Brookhaven, Southampton, East Hampton, Huntington, Smithtown, Islip, and Southold.
