Manuscript letter of John Steinbeck to Herbert Sturz, February 1953 written after Sturz, then a student as Columbia University, sent Steinbeck a letter and a paper he had written about The Grapes of Wrath. Letter discusses critical reaction to the novel, and writing in general.
