Josiah Smith, commander of Long Island "minute men," with list of officers, accounts of cash received from New York State, and orders of the day for August, 1776; also photocopy of a letter to Col. Smith from General Nathanael Greene, ordering the colonel to join General Greene in Brooklyn with his regiment, 9 August 1776.
