Correspondence, legal papers, and financial records relating to estates and other legal matters concerning James Roosevelt, James R. Roosevelt, Elizabeth Riley Roosevelt, Sara Delano Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Thomas Newbold, Frederick R. Newbold, and Archibald Rogers. Some items pertain to a right of way case between the New York Central Railroad and the Roosevelts and their neighbors along the Hudson River, 1914. Collection also includes deeds, tax papers, account books, and miscellaneous family letters of the DePeyster family, 1837-1923, primarily relating to New York City property; a 1797 copy of a van Rennsylaer (sic) land patent of 1704; and legal and estate papers of Louis and Alice Livingston, Geraldyne Redmond, the Dinsmore family, the Langdon family, Edwin Platt, and August Gennerich.
