Hall of Insect Life entomological museum exhibition photographs, 1900-1956.

Photographs showing an 1899 temporary arrangement of insects including the Hoffman Collection of South American and Indian Butterflies donated by the Very Rev. Eugene A. Hoffman, prior to its move to the West Wing. Shows the collection in 1909 having been entrusted to the New York Entomological Society and the meeting place of the organization by permission of the Museum. Includes views of bees, Monarch and other butterflies, moths, spider webs, beetles, ants, and other insect group exhibits. Photographs are identified.
