Quest for divine mushroom exhibition photographs, 1959.

Photographs of the exhibit "Quest for the Divine Mushroom: an Ancient Rite Rediscovered." The "divine mushroom" represented in stone is Psilocybin, a hallucinogenic fungus. The show conveyed both scientific qualities and cultural use of the mushroom which is found in southern Mexico. Photographs were taken by Alex J. Rota, and Morton Yourow. Photographs are identified.
