General correspondence of the Shubert offices including letter copy books, 1900-1906; incoming letters and carbon copies of replies from the Shubert offices relating to business matters such as theater management and maintenance, booking, box office statements, reports from road shows, real estate and investment offers in various cities and other business propositions, performers asking for jobs, authors' royalties and contract negotiations, insurance claims and other financial organizations. Also, religious and charitable organizations asking for contributions and individuals asking for personal favors, 1908-1910. Correspondence from theater and road company managers and advance agents, playwrights, composers, performers, producers and other theater personalities, studios for sets and costumes, program printers, music publishers, advertising firms, international artists' agencies, law firms, real estate offices, religious and charitable organizations, and letters granting favors to personal and business friends. Correspondents include William Klein, attorney, D.A. Bird, treasurer, J.W. Rhinock, general manager, and other Shubert employees, 1910-1926.
