Notes, charts, genealogical correspondence, and miscellaneous clippings, photographs, manuscript and typescript copies of 18th and 19th century Stokes family wills and legal documents, and printed material on the genealogy of the Stokes family of England and the U.S. These were produced by Helen Phelps Stokes, Isaac Newton Phelps Stokes, Adrian Stokes, Henry John Stokes, Thomas G. Stokes, and others. Of note is a notebook, ca. 1818-1824, possibly owned by James Stokes, containing arithmetic problems; an inventory of clothing, 1824; and miscellaneous memoranda.
