Collection primarily consists of her diaries, 1902-1952, concerning her domestic activities, visits and other social activities, letters written and received, her children's health and activities, the weather, and other daily events; entries in the 1902 volume also discuss her wedding and the first months of marriage, teaching school, helping her husband in his medical practice, and her hobby of pyrography (wood burning). Other items include account book of automobile expenses, 1919-1939; autograph book of Ola Laidlaw with autograph of Marietta Holley, 1881-1893; diary from the family's camp on the St. Lawrence River, 1929-1939; scrapbook of memorabilia from St. Lawrence University kept by her daughter Helena Laidlaw, 1923-1924; accounts from the estate of Charles Dean Laidlaw, 1953; and photographs of her son-in-law Merle Livermore, ca. 1940.
