Professor Emeritus Murray M. Horowitz (1918- ), Brooklyn born and bred, attended local elementary and high schools. He continued his education at Brooklyn College where he received his B.A. and M.A. degrees and then received his PhD. from Columbia University. Between 1961 and 1977, Murray Horowitz was a Brooklyn College history professor. During the 1960's, he served as the college's Associate Dean of Faculty as well as Dean of the college.
