27th Division Press Office collection, 1943-1945.

This material focuses on the experiences of the 27th Division, U.S. Army, in the Pacific Theater (1943-1945). The majority of the collection is comprised of general Division press releases, press releases on individual soldiers to hometown papers and biographical files from the Division's press office. Included is a group of after- action reports from various Division commands relating to the Okinawa campaign, and a substantive paper on the history of the 27th Division.
