These files contain correspondence, documents, and newspaper clippings relating to the history and lineage of several New York National Guard units. The bulk of the material is addressed to or was created by Col. Frederick P. Todd, the New York National Guard historian in the early 1960's, and LTC John V. Gallagher, Assistant Adjutant General. Most of the material is dated 1961 to 1963. The files were probably kept at New York National Guard Headquarters in Albany, N.Y.
