Contains accounts of the experiences of a girl at High Point Female Seminary, N.C., in 1860, including a description of Hinton Rowan Helper burning books on the seminary grounds; letters from a soldier in the 33rd North Carolina Regiment during the Civil War; and letters from a soldier in the 42nd North Carolina Regiment, 1862-1864.
