Typescript of Kipling's short story My Sunday at home with numerous handwritten corrections in Kipling's hand. Typescript title crossed off and in Kipling's hand reads: "The child of calmity. Proof to Rudyard Kipling Brattleboro Vermont, U.S.A.". Leaves are numbered 1-14, 14a, 15-23. Published in the April 1895 issue of the Idler magazine, the June 1895 issue of McClure's magazine, and in 1898 in the collection The days' work.
