Summary: Correspondence, maps, technical pamphlets and other materials relating to Mathewson's mining and teaching careers. There are course instruction materials and correspondence as chairman for a funding drive for a new football stadium in 1927 to 1929 from his University tenure. There are maps, diagrams and pamphlets relating to mining in Arizona including Phelps Dodge branches at Morenci and the Copper Queen Mine, Inspiration Copper Company, Ray Copper Company, Old Dominion Copper Company, and more. Additional mining drawings depict equipment, plans and organizational charts for some companies. There are technical pamphlets for mining operations of copper, gold, lead, silver, and zinc, mostly from the 1920s.
