Encomio de' virtuosi, e lor mecenati : Dedicato al Serenissimo Gran Principe di Toscana D. Ferdinando Secondo, 1618, Florence.

A panegyric on the Medici family as patrons of learning and of the arts, this essay praises their support of Ficino and other humanists, of Michelangelo and Giambologna, among artists, and of scholars in the circle of Cosimo II known to Parigi himself. A program of 16th century decorations for the Piazza della Signoria and extensive 17th century additions to Florence cathedral, both under Medici auspices, are among the works honored with detailed commentary.
