Photocopied papers of a Madison, Wis. electrical contractor who was instrumental in persuading Frank Lloyd Wright to design a civic center for Monona Terrace. Included are letters between Harloff, Wright, and Wright's staff; a collection of newspaper clippings concerning the controversial project; a document prepared by Wright titled "Olin Terrace: Facts Concerning the Scheme [for] Hanging Gardens Constructed Above the Lake"; specifications for a scale model of the building; and a 1991 article published in the Capitol Neighborhoods newsletter about Harloff and his role in the project and including excerpts of letters he wrote to the editors of local newspapers.
