Papers, 1812-1897.

Papers of Jerome Ripley Brigham, a Milwaukee attorney. The early papers consist largely of personal letters from former schoolmates at Amherst College and from relatives including his brother-in-law, Horace G. Bliss, in regard to real estate matters and the large farm at Blue Mounds, Wis., owned jointly with Bliss, and from the operators of the farm. Present for 1854-1855 are typewritten copies of letters written by prominent orators of the day to Brigham while he was secretary of the lecture committee of the Milwaukee Young Men's Association.
