Papers of Thomas, active member of the Socialist Party in Milwaukee, Wis. and a principal stockholder in the Milwaukee Social-Democratic Publishing Company in which she played an instrumental role running the Social-Democratic Herald and the Milwaukee Leader. The collection consists primarily of letters and speeches(?) in which Thomas relates her views on the issues facing the Socialist Party, particularly the rise of the Fascist and Nazi movements, and the policies of the Roosevelt administration. Also included is correspondence with editors of the "New Leader," mass mailings received from other Socialists, correspondence with James Oneal, and Thomas' history of Victor Berger and socialism.
