John Word West teaching career records, 1903-1962.

Records created during John's careers at Reinhardt College, Oglethorpe University, North Georgia Agricultural College (which became North Georgia College in 1926) and Georgia Military Academy include correspondence, news clippings, and publications. A major portion (4-03/08) documents West's tenure as president at N.G.A.C. (1925-1933) and the economic and political changes that forced him out of his position. Many letters document the reciprocal interest Colonel West and his students took in each other. Correspondence (1954-1957) with the Bethsaida Baptist Church is included.
