Hearn, Ebenezer, 1794-1862.

A native of N.C., Ebenezer Hearn enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1813 and served three months under General Andrew Jackson in the Creek War. In 1816 he became an itinerant minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church, serving first in Tenn. and in Ala. after 1817. In 1818 his circuit covered 700 miles in central Ala.
