Casimir Pulaski letters and baptismal certificate, 1738-1778.

This is an artificial collection created by the Georgia Historical Society and comprised of two letters written by Casimir Pulaski and a facsimile of his baptismal record. The letters are of unknown provenance. Both letters are written in French and signed by Pulaski. However, the signatures do not match and therefore they may not both be originals. Neither is dated, but the first has an estimated date of 1776, and the second is noted as received on July 5, 1778. In the first letter, Pulaski requests permission to leave France for America. In the second letter, he describes his campaign plans. The baptismal record is written in Latin.
