Sixteen negatives from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Office of Information photos, chiefly of the Great Plains but include locations throughout the U.S. Includes photos of an abandoned farmhouse, soil erosion, droughts, and Orlando, Okla., as well as images of farmers, a railroad worker, migrant workers, and a housekeeper. Persons represented include Teddy Roosevelt and Gifford Pinchot. Photographers include G.W. Ackerman, Dorothea Lange, Arthur Rothstein, and Marion Post Wolcott.
