Collection of published media reports on Mormonism, circa 1980-1992.

Collection includes nine reports taken from newspapers and other media which reference or discuss the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, although many focus on wider Mormon and Mormon fundamentalist movements. Articles included in the collection: items on Steve Benson, son of Ezra Taft Benson; items on Bo Gritz, ultra-conservative Mormon presidential candidate; items on Ervil LeBaron's Church of the First Born of the Lamb of God; several letters written to the Cult Awareness Network by Mormon dissidents; items on polygamists in Colorado City, Arizona; items on Clarence St. Pier Leake, who held temple workers hostage in Washington, D.C.; items on Dan and Ron Lafferty, charged with murder after joining a polygamous, Mormon fundamentalist sect; issues of the periodical Exposing Mormonism: The Utah Evangel; anti-Mormon pamphlets published by various groups; items on Mark Hoffman; items on the excommunication of various Mormon scholars and intellectuals in the 1990s; and various other topics. One folder also contains printed material on religious toleration published by the Foundation for Religious Freedom.
