Collection comprises correspondence, manuscript dummies, sketches and proofs, published books, illustrations, photographs, and publicity related to children's book authors and illustrators Berta and Elmer Hader. The outgoing correspondence is illustrated and includes letters to Doris Patee. The incoming correspondence includes letters from Alice Dalgliesh, A.E. MacFadden, and various people associated with the Macmillan publishers. There is original art for many of the Hader's books, including Big snow; Jamaica Johnny; Little stone house; and Wish on the moon.
