Notebook, 1791 and later.

Translations from Latin authors and original works in English, on the subject of change in nature and human life. The translations include portions of Frederic Cassander's "Nature loquax" (Frankfurt, 1630) and another meditation by Cassander; two passages from Seneca the Younger; and a passage from the Catonis disticha. The original works are a poem, "Seasons of human life"; and a summary of "the four great monarchies of the world": Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome.
