"Left word with young Mr. Ten Broeck some days since, that I would submit the matter to the chamber, but that part of my books were at Albany, and that I had sent for them, which I suppose he must not have informed you they'll by here soon when I shall write to you." Philip John Schuyler (November 20 [O.S. November 9] 1733 – November 18, 1804) was an American general in the Revolutionary War and a United States Senator from New York. He is usually known as Philip Schuyler, while his son is usually known as Philip J. Schuyler.
