Purchase vouchers, 1913-1953.

This series consists of materials documenting purchases made by the Rosenbach Company from 1913 to 1953. When payment for an item was authorized, a numbered form (voucher) was completed. In most cases, materials further documenting the transaction were attached to the voucher: involices, receipts for payment(s), an itemized list of material purchased, and/or correspondence relating to the purchase. Each voucher was also recorded in the Voucher Record. Not all vouchers have survived. The vouchers appear to have been "weeded" to remove records for all purchases except books, manuscripts, and art.
