Prisoner correspondence, 1957-1960.

Correspondence between inmates of the Stillwater and St. Cloud prisons and the governor's office. Many of the letters ask legal questions about past trials, current sentences, and parole eligibility. Others complain about medical care, prison rules and procedure, or alleged mistreatment by guards or wardens. Some are from relatives or friends writing on behalf of a prisoner. Responses are from the governor, his staff, the state attorney general, and various wardens.
