A transcript of Claude Gernade Bowers' oral history interviews. Bowers discusses his Indiana boyhood, the U.S. Senate during the Progressive era, the New York Evening World, William Randolph Hearst, the 1924 and 1928 Democratic conventions, his writing of The Tragic Era and other books, as well as his work as ambassador to Spain during Spain's Civil War, and as ambassador to Chile during World War II.
