Letter to New York Provincial Treasurer, 1776 April 8.

A letter, signed by Thomas Thomas, Chairman of the Westchester County Committee, to Peter V.B. Livingston requesting that he pay the committee the funds ordered by the Provincial Congress. The letter contains a statement of receipt of the funds signed by James Franklin.

The New York Provincial Congress passed an order on March 1, 1776 authorizing the provincial Treasurer to pay the Westchester County Committee a sum to defray contingent expenses of the county.
