Records debits and credits accrued by Beal from 1773 to 1779 for such activities as shoeing horses and oxen; mending guns, chains, and plow irons; making axes, spikes, hinges, and nails; putting springs on locks; altering a chisel; hooping barrels; and preparing parts for plows. Customers received credits for a variety of products and tasks, including bushels of farm produce, coal, hauling, a bedstead, and other household goods.
