Advertising clinic files, 1926-1959.

The records document the semi-annual departmental meetings that were held to review advertising campaigns and devise advertising strategy. The files for each meeting include planning sessions, programs, publicity photos, suggestions, and follow-up assessments. The files also include texts of speeches for each meeting. These typically included a welcoming address by a senior company official and topical speeches on various aspects of advertising, selling, and market research delivered by departmental managers, members of advertising agencies (particularly BBDO), executives from other companies, and academic experts.
