This series consists of bound volumes which list those state residents who had applied for chauffeur's licenses. Each entry lists name, city where working, fees paid, fees owed, and dates of registration. Race and age of registrant are occasionally listed. Individuals wishing to drive a taxi-cab, a jitney, or to hire out as a chauffeur were required to register.
