Don Walker (1917-2000) was born in Oak City, Utah, in 1917. He spent most of his youth in Millard County. He completed his B.A. and M.A. degrees at the University of Utah. He then attended the University of Minnesota, where he obtained his Ph.D. Walker was a member of the faculty as a professor in the English Department at the University of Utah.
