This series contains the declined invitations for the governor's attendance and/or participation in events. The series includes correspondence in the form of letters and formal card invitations. As these invitations were received by the governor's office they were stamped with a number which correlates with the correspondence control list kept in the governor's filing office. The invitations contain notations of regret and occasionally a letter of regret is attached.
