Cash journals, 1903-1936.

This series documents the cash transactions of the Bureau/Dept. of Insurance on a daily basis. Types of fees collected include Fire Marshal's taxes, and licensing fees for companies, agents, and brokers. Each entry lists company name, date, amount and type of fee collected and total amount of transaction. Deposits are also noted. Part of this series was created by the office of the Secretary of State during the years the Secretary acted as the Commissioner of Insurance (1897-1915). The duties performed by the commissioner were transferred to the Dept. of Insurance upon its creation in 1915.
