Petition, ca.1826.

Petition to the New York State Legislature for constructing a road through the Seneca Indian Reservation from inhabitants of the counties of Erie, Cattaraugus, Genesee, and Allegany. The petition requests that the legislature appropriate the sum of 2000 dollars to improve the road and repair it's bridges. The inhabitants could no longer afford to maintain the road, on which they depended for much of their commercial transportation.
