Account books, 1839-1853.

Journal and ledger providing financial information on the daily operation of the line. The journal provides a daily record of receipts and disbursements in chronological order. The ledger contains similiar data, organized by account. Revenues include freight hauling charges and passenger ticket sales. Disbursements were for such items as labor, supplies, maintenance and bridge tolls.
