Papers, 1968-1973.

The papers of a late 1960s University of Pennsylvania political activist including correspondence, interviews, notes, manuscripts, newspaper clippings, periodicals, and audio tapes. Much of the materials focuses on a dispute between Spector and the university administration over political organizing. Prominent correspondents include Howard Lesnich and Martin Meyerson. Temple University holds other collections concerning American social/political activism, 1960-1985.

In 1919 Edward Bushnell was appointed publicity agent for the University of Pennsylvania. His appointment began a long and expanding effort at public relations at the University. In 1954 the Department of Public Relations expanded its work to include two new units, Motion Picture Services and the Office of Radio and Television.
