Joseph Reed (August 27, 1741 – March 5, 1785) was a Founding Father of the United States and a lawyer, military officer, and statesman of the American Revolutionary Era who lived the majority of his life in Pennsylvania. William Bingham was born on April 8, 1752 in Philadelphia. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, class of 1768 and went on to become a founder and director of the Pennsylvania Bank (later known as the Bank of North America).
