Herbert Henry Lehman (March 28, 1878 – December 5, 1963) was an American investment banker and politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he notably served from 1933 until 1942 as the 45th Governor of New York and as U.S. Senator from New York between 1949 and 1957. Wayne Lyman Morse (October 20, 1900 – July 22, 1974) was an American attorney and United States Senator from Oregon. Morse is well known for opposing his party's leadership and for his opposition to the Vietnam War on constitutional grounds.
