Grenville family papers : Special subjects : Elections, 1679-1902 (bulk 1784-1859).

Election accounts for the expenses of various members of the Grenville family, chiefly relating to their standing for Buckinghamshire shire and borough seats, particularly for: William Wyndham Grenville, Baron Grenville in 1804 and 1806' Richard Grenville, 1st Duke of Buckingham and Chandos in 1802, 1806, 1807, and 1812-13; Richard Grenville, 2nd Duke of Buckingham and Chandos, in 1818, 1820, and 1830-38; and George Nugent Grenville, 2nd Baron Nugent, in 1818 and 1820. Also included are election canvasses and poll results (chiefly for Buckinghamshire for 1784-1857, as well as the borough of Winchester in 1831); lists of freeholders in various Buckinghamshire hundreds (late 18th and early 19th centuries); oaths of allegiance of the Freeholders and Mayors in St. Mawes, Cornwall (1726-1830), and numerous printed election broadsides and newspaper clippings concerning elections.
