Collection consists of one letter from Bell to Allanah Harper (1933) concerning the scheduling of a meeting in London and an undated holograph bound copy with annotations of his Proust, published by Hogarth Press in 1928. Other collections at the HRC with Bell material range in date from 1915 to 1955. The collections include Clifford Bax (1934), Arnold Bennett (1917), Gerald Brenan (to Dora Carrington, 1919), British Sexological Society (to George Ives, 1923), Jean Cocteau (nd), Helmut Gernsheim (to Bell, 1947), Lady Ottoline Morrell (1915-1918, nd), John M. Murry (1923), Edward Nehls (1953-1955), and Virginia Woolf (to Francis Hacket, 1931-1934). Letters from Bell in these collections focus on the Bloomsbury group and current events. The bulk of the materials are in the Ottoline Morrell collection, consisting of 25 letters, 14 undated and 11 from 1915 to 1918. The focus of these letters also centers around the events of the Bloomsbury group and Bell's efforts to avoid active duty in World War I.
