Includes a bound volume of typed carbon copies (75 p., 1936) containing an introduction, a letter, a poem, and eleven essays that were submitted as entries in an essay contest (Jan. 1-March 1, 1936) sponsored by the Women's Friday Club (Cloquet, Minn.). The essays relate personal accounts of the forest fire that destroyed Cloquet (Oct. 1918). The introduction deals primarily with the town's subsequent damage claims against the U.S. Federal Railroad Administration.
