Letter, 1845 August 27.

Letter to William B. Sprague, Geneva, N.Y. regarding a visit by Sprague to the home of Spencer; "...that a visit from you will be among the most pleasurable events..." Sprague also gives directions to his home, "...take the stage to my place which leaves Geneva..." Wm. B. Sprague became one of the best known clergyman of the era; from 1829-69 he was a minister of the Second Presbyterian Church at Albany, N.Y. The letter was written at Lyons, N.Y.
